- June 17 - ARUSHA
Group will arrive independently and overnight at the historic
Arusha Hotel.
- June 18 - TARANGIRE
After breakfast we will depart for our 2 hour drive to Tarangire
National Park, known for it's majestic baobab trees and huge
herds of elephants and cape buffalo. We will have a picnic lunch
as we drive through the park to the outer boundaries where we
will arrive at Kikoti Safari Camp. Night drives will be available.

- June 19 and June 20 TARANGIRE
Today we will enjoy a full day exploring this wonderful and unique
park with morning, afternoon and evening game drives. BLD
- June 21 TARANGIRE/LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park.
We will check in and have lunch at Losirwa Tented Lodge - a unique
camp raised on polished wooden decks with wonderful views of
the open grassland towards Manyara and the Escarpment. This camp
is within walking distance of a traditional Maasai boma that
we can visit during our lunch breaks. One can indeed see some
game during the "boma walks" as the lodge is located
in an area with very little human disturbance. We will then have
an afternoon game drive to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is a beautiful
small park that is usually used just as a quick stop over on
the way to the Crater. Jan feels it is worth more time to really
get to explore. It is a photographers dream with a lake full
of flamingos, fish eagles, pelicans and other birds The park
also has a deep moss draped forest where you can see monkeys,
forest antelope such as bushbuck and the famous "tree climbing
lions" found in the park. BLD
- June 22 - 23 LAKE MANYARA
More time to fully experience this wonderful park with morning
and afternoon game drives. BLD
- June 24 - 26 LAKE MANYARA/SERENGETI
Central Area
After breakfast we will take a fascinating drive to the Serengeti
National Park arriving in camp in time for lunch. The Park is
home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on the earth.
Punctuated by large kopjes (rock outcrops) that lions and leopards
love to relax on. We will stay in semi permanent camps in two
areas of the park. The first in the Central area where we will
spend three nights at Oltepesi Tented camp. We hope to be situated
near large herds of migrating wildebeest. BLD
- June 27 - 29 SERENGETI Western Corridor
After breakfast we will travel west beyond the Seronera Valley
where we will enter the western corridor and Grumeti River region.
Famous for a population of huge Nile crocodiles it is a favorite
area of lions. We will be staying at Olerai Tented camp. BLD
- June 30 SERENGETI/ARUSHA
After our morning game drive we fly back to Arusha. We will lunch
at the famous Cultural Heritage which has a huge shopping area
for carvings, batiks, and rare Tanzanite. Their new art gallery
also carries Jan's giclee prints. We will then retire to dayrooms
at the Arusha Hotel later to be transferred to Mt. Kilimanjaro
airport for return flights home unless you are going on the Ngorongoro
extenstion. BL
