WOLVES FOR ARTISTS
March 20 - 22, 2009
WOLF PARK
Battle Ground, Indiana

This fun and unique workshop has Jan giving lectures on painting wildlife (emphasis on wolves, foxes and coyotes, but also on all wildlife including African and Rainforest) and also the business of art, while the biologists of Wolf Park talk about wolf behavior and anatomy. Participants will be able to go in with wolves to get real time hands on experience. There will be personal critiques of participants artwork by Jan.

2009 Group

The group gets to go in and get "hands on" with the wolves with unlimited opportunity for photography.

The group gets to go on a wolf/bison demo (weather permitting). Wolf Park has a heard of healthy bison and so there is never any danger to either wolves or bison, but the interaction of the species is quite interesting to observe and photograph.

Part of the workshop involves understanding anatomy. Here Jan talks with a student about wolf anatomy.

Jan has just wrapped up her 4th annual WOLVES FOR ARTISTS workshop at Wolf Park. It was a resounding success with the students, who spent three days getting reference for wolf behavior and anatomy along with instruction and guidance from wildlife artist Jan Martin McGuire.
