| Jan and James recently returned from an adventure in Zambia. They went to research a project called the NORTH LUANGWA CONSERVATION PROGRAMME which involved reintroducing Black Rhino back to the remote and undeveloped North Luangwa National Park. This project illustrates with broad strokes what can be accomplish if people put aside their differences and come together to work towards a common goal. This ongoing project is a joint effort between a major global African conservation group, government agencies, private individuals and hunters. The Game management areas around the park that have licensed, regulated hunting is the first line of defense to keep poachers out of the park. |

| Jan did a major original
of one of the rhinos named Londokeni - which means "we are
back" in the local language, so the title of the painting
is "WE ARE BACK". The catchphrase is "Out from
the Shadows of near extinction - we are back". Jan is donating
the entire $30,000 proceeds from this painting to dig desperately
needed boreholes for the ranger stations in and around the park. |

|
| Jan will be donating a
portion of the proceeds from the print of the painting, along
with this book to help fund rangers rations, uniforms, equipment
and housing needs. |

|
| The book is in two sections
- the first is filled with breathtaking photographs taken by
Jan and her wildlife photographer husband James Gary Hines II,
along with sketches and artwork from the trip. It documents
many of the adventures they had during the trip including chasing
and catching poachers; and an elephant that was a regular in
camp named Spook. The second section is about the programme
itself. |
